Unsolved Crimes

9/9/2008 - Terri Reed gives back despite Husband`s Murder Case Running Cold

After 13 years of a marriage and memories Terri Reed says it was all taken the instant her husband was killed. To this day Crandle Jack Reed`s murder is still unsolved. "He missed his son graduating from college, Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Years, Valentine`s Day, and pretty much just waking up everyday," said Reed.

On November 18th 2007 Crandle Reed was shot and killed while he sat in his cab off of Edgewood. Since then, police have no suspects or even a motive."They know it wasn`t a robbery, they know it wasn`t an attempted robbery. It appears they just run up on him and shot him for no reason, other than, `There`s an innocent man sitting there, lets shoot him," added Reed.

That is what Terri Reed firmly believes, but instead of giving up hope, she now gives it to others. Not letting her grief get the best of her, she volunteers her time with the Justice Coaltion. Whether it`s talking to victims or just being there to listen, it`s a way she connects. "The only way I can repay all the goodness that come to me from this tragedy is to give back. And it makes me feel good. I understand what the people are going through," says Reed. It is now her second passion right next to her first. Everyday she visits her husband`s grave. While she puts her energy into believing the suspects will be caught in her husband`s case, she also gives strength to those who need it.

"That`s my whole mission now. Not only to find out who killed my husband, but to help other families so nobody has to live my life because it hasnt been easy and I cant imagine it will be easy," said Reed.

The reward for information leading to an arrest in Crandle Reed`s case is now $11,000.

If you have any information, call First Coast Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS.

Next time it could be yours. I don`t want his death to go unnoticed. I want to know who did it and I can`t rest until I do. I have to have peace too,? says Terri Reed.
